Great day working with Year 3! Everyone was friendly and helpful. Hopefully all the building work will be finished next time I visit!
A great primary school with friendly staff and well behaved students. The school is undergoing construction work which will increase its capacity with a new block, which consists of 4 class rooms and a hall. Currently ofstead have rated the academy as outstanding and you can see why.
Our daughter is in her first year at the school. This has coincided with the arrival of a new head who really appears to be trying to push the school forwards in a very positive direction. There is a distinct sense of discipline and a real drive for children to achieve their potential (and beyond). Communication is excellent and good work is celebrated. Our daughter loves going to school - I have no concerns whatsoever and am really glad that we chose this school for our daughter.
I have had a child at Newcroft for the last eight years. They have both been happy and enjoy school. The teaching they have received has been good and their grades reflect this. Recent changes at the school have only improved the school further and I would recommend Newcroft to anyone that wants a caring and stimulating school for their child.
I had all of my children go through Newcroft over 13 years and I have seen it deteriorate recently. It was so bad that I withdrew my son this year because he was so unhappy there, being bullied, forgotten and Mr Smythe (Head Teacher) did nothing to improve the situation.Then after withdrawing my child I get a letter from the Chair of Governors accusing me of 'depriving' my child.Sorry to say, but think twice before signing up to Newcroft.
